Welcome to Destined Host Acceptable Use Policy

Effective date: 1 January 2025

  • Hosting or distributing content that violates Nigerian or international laws.
  • Sending unsolicited or bulk emails (spam).
  • Creating phishing websites or misleading login pages.
  • Uploading or sharing malware, ransomware, or any harmful code.
  • Hosting pornography or adult content.
  • Performing hacking attempts, brute-force attacks, or DDoS attacks.
  • Infringing on copyrights or intellectual property rights.
  • Running crypto mining or unauthorized scripts on shared servers.

2. Resource Usage
  • Use server resources (CPU, bandwidth, RAM, etc.) responsibly.
  • Accounts using excessive resources may be throttled or suspended.
  • Destined Host may suggest a plan upgrade or migration for consistently high usage.

3. Email Usage
  • Bulk or promotional email must comply with anti-spam laws and have user opt-in.
  • Improperly configured mail scripts are not allowed.
  • Accounts with frequent spam reports may be reviewed or suspended.

4. Security and Access

  • Do not attempt to access other user accounts, servers, or files.
  • Ensure your website scripts, plugins, and databases are secure and up to date.

5. Enforcement
  • Violations may result in account warnings, suspension, or permanent termination.
  • Severe abuse (such as phishing or hosting malware) will lead to immediate suspension and may be reported to authorities.

6. Reporting Abuse
  • If you suspect a violation of this policy, report it to abuse@destinedhost.com.
  • Please include as much evidence as possible (IP address, domain, screenshots, etc.).

7. FBTDL Category Domains/Services

The term FBTDL is used to describe specific domain categories that are not allowed on our platform due to high abuse risk. The abbreviation stands for:

  • F – Forex
  • B – Banks (or any unregistered financial institution), Bitcoin or any other Crypto based domains
  • T – Token verification domains
  • D – Decentralised Apps domains
  • Logistics – Domains/services that claim to deal with Logistics, Cargo and Delivery services

Any domain/service that is of this category will either be terminated or taken through validation process to validate the existence of this service (for example for Logistics subcategory domains and services). The validation process will be done while domain/service is suspended. It will then be activated after validation is completed. Inclusion of the name or any of its variance within your domain or services may lead to automatic suspension/termination of the service.

Notice: In addition to actions taken by Destined Host, the central domain registry or registrar may disable or remove a domain if a legitimate abuse report is submitted or regulatory issues are identified.

Destined Host reserves the right to decide which domains fit this category and act accordingly to protect our network.
